June 14-21—Annual International Conference, Institute for Functional Medicine
I am honored to present 2 sessions at this conference.
- Unapologetic Deliciousness—this cooking demo-filled session is the food pairing to Christopher Gardner, PhD’s, plenary session (What to Eat? It Depends). Together, we discuss nutrition and cooking tips while I demonstrate how to prepare several plant-based dishes. (Recipes to be posted after the session!) If you ever get a chance to listen to Professor Gardner’s other presentations on nutrition, they’re not to be missed!
- Shared Medical Visit Models—in this session, several different models for shared medical appointments, including 2 featuring Culinary Medicine, are shared. I share the models I’ve used in both obesity medicine and primary care. My co-presenters are Swathi Rao of BeWell Family Care and Dr. Kara Parker of the Whittier Clinic Group Visit Program at Hennepin Healthcare.
Like all other summer conferences, it was converted to a virtual conference due to COVID-19. #AIC2020
